The Project
During the holy month of Ramadan, a CGI video created by our team aimed to spread a message of unity, peace, and generosity among the Sri Lankan community. The video utilized the iconic Red Mosque in Pettah, a popular tourism spot, as its backdrop. Our strategy was to tap into the spirit of the occasion and encourage viewers to share the video with their friends and family, fostering a sense of community and celebration.

Objective:​

The primary goal of the video was to celebrate Ramadan and promote the values it represents, such as unity and generosity. By creating engaging content, our aim was to reach a wide audience, particularly on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. Through organic sharing, we hoped to amplify our message and encourage viewers to spread the Ramadan wishes depicted in the CGI video.

Execution:​

  • Content: The 33-second CGI video showcased the Red Mosque in Pettah, beautifully lit up to symbolize the festive spirit of Ramadan. 

  • Platform Strategy:

    • TikTok: The video gained significant traction on TikTok, garnering over 100k views, 9k likes, and attracting more than 600 organic followers. TikTok’s algorithm favored the engaging visuals and the heartfelt message of unity during Ramadan.

    • Instagram and Facebook: Across these platforms, the video received a total of 6k organic views. By sharing on Instagram stories, posts, and utilizing relevant hashtags, we aimed to reach a broader audience interested in travel, tourism, and cultural celebrations.
